Travel Information

Well, this morning I woke up with one thing on my mind. Make travel plans. It is now 12:50 and I just finished. I've worked all morning. I tried to go through a travel agent, but they only have certain days that I can fly. The prices were very high. For those who are trying to adopt I will tell you what I've done. I called NorthWest Airlines. They actually have a phone number just for adoptions! I have planned round trip flights for my husband and I to leave on the day I wanted. It is costing us about $1500.oo round trip. Of course I don't know the day I will return. There is no charge for changing travel dates. Flights are completely refundable and exchangable. I will be able to purchase our child's ticket to return for about $800.oo. This is much cheaper than anyone else we tried to book flights through. We will fly from Huntsville to Detroit to Amsterdam to Kiev. Returning it will be the reverse order. The only concern I have now is that we will spend the night in Amsterdam. I have read that there is a hotel in the airport. Hopefully we can spend the night there for this overnight stay. I really need to find out more about that before we travel. Lee really wants to take advantage of the time we have in Amsterdam to get out and see the city. I have a feeling we will be too exhausted to want to do anything but sleep! But I doubt we ever travel there again, so maybe we could? Who knows?
I am so thankful that school is finally out! Now I can really concentrate on getting ready for this trip.
